At a putting competition held on Wednesday last for the ladies, Mrs L. W. Petchell was first, with a score of 30: Mrs Gordon. 31, second; and Miss Robinson, 32, tnird, out of twelve entries. The qualifying rounds for the championships were commenced on Wednesday, the. best score being made by W. Robinson, with Clifford second. They will bo continued on Saturday.
