WALL 4 OETOWN SALE Monday, Bth The Invercargill Stock Agents report having held their fortnightly sale yesterday instead of to-day, which would have been the ordinaly day. It being an off day prices all round, especially in fat stock, « ere much eat-ier. Fat cattle—loo yarded. Amongst the entry were some well-finished bullocks. The top price was =£9 2 6d for a pnir of well-finished bullocks sent in by Mr Win. Scott, Tuatapere. We quote prime bullocks at £'9, .£8 10s, down to .£712 6d; cow an 1 heifer beef from £4 lOz up to- £4 15s; prices being equal to 20s to 21s for best ox. Fat Sheep—lo 67 yarded. Despite a small yarding prices lagged throughout, aud the top price for wethers was 21s 6d At the previous Rale prices were from Is to 2s lower than at the previous eale. Prim wethois marie 19s to 21s 6d. Store Cattle.—l6s yarded. There was fairly good enquiry for well bred steers which were sold rea lily at «he following prices: Yearlings, 36s to 41s; 18 months' old and 2-year-old steel s, £2 7s, J. 3 12s £315?, and £'4 15s; springing heifers, £4 2 61 to £5 10s.
