SCHOOL COMMISSIONERS
At the monthly meeting of the Otago School Commissioners the commissioner of Crown lands wrote suggesting that the whole of .the commissioners’ endowments administered by the Southladd Land Board should be brought under “ The Land Act, 1892,” and asking to recomipend the governor to issue a proclamation permitting the exchanges in tenure which were applied for in 1895, but not completed. Request granted. The {southland agent was authorised to advertise all vacant sections together with those, whose leases were about to expire. Provided the Wallace County Council expend an equal sum voted towards making road' ithtsangh education reserve, block 4, Aparima. A list of tenants in arrear with rents was ordered to be prepared. Re Mark Shaw’s sections 1, 2* and 3, Taringatnra, it was revived bn the expiry of the present lease, the sections be offered separately. It was resolved that sections 29 and 30, block 1, and sections 6,7, 11, 22, and 23, block 2,Makaknra (Te Anau) be offered for lease for 21 years.
