Monday, December 3rd. The monthly meeting was attended by his Worship the Mayor (E Ward, Esq), and Cr«. Hancock, Martin, Pankhurst, Petohell, Akhurst and Rowles. The following applications were granted : E Ward and R Rerndtson to ereo 4 - boatsheds nfc South Riverton; F Gray and S Campbell to burn oft sorae and bash; and A Bell to burn rubbish. It was decided to notify a certain owner of an allotment in the eemrrery that his fence was not «rectod according to the rules, and request him to have it put right. The matter of the encroachment of a section on Bay Road, South Rivet-ton, was left in the hands of the Mayor. The clerk was instructed to servo a notice on S. Carapbel', South Riverton, requesting him to prevent drainage from his drain on to Shrewsbury Street. Accounts amounting to £2O 3s 6J were pa*srd for payment. The Council then adjourned.
