I The entire horse Liverpool, by King of Clubs j —ldalia, was sold in the Dunedin Baleyards last i Saturday for 28 guineas, the purchaser being j a resident of the Clutha. It will ho romem- ! bored that Livorpool, who is half brother to I Sir Modred, was unco a prominont favorite for the Molbnurne Cup, whon owned by tho Hon. W. Robinson. He also started favorite for the Canterbury Derby in 1884, but only, secured third honors. He won tho Canterbury Welcome Stakes as a two-year-old. Mr Fallow's paddock on tho which has been utilised as a racecourse fur tho last f w years, not being now available the Riverton Racing Club have made arrangements to hold their Easter races on Mr Richards' property, where the race traok originally was. As heretofore the Steeplechase will be over natural country, and a rea ly fine lino of fences have been obtained over which to run it. Tho handicap for the Sydney Cup has been issued. Aborcorn and Australian Peer head the list with 9.4 each, and Lochiel is well looked after with 21b less, while Carbine has been allotted 9st. Of othor well-known horses Carlyon receives 8.12, Cranbrook 8.8, Tradition 8.6, and Manton 8 4.
