THE BOAT TAX.
TO THE E )110E. Sib,—l see in your i isuo of 20th inst. that at the meeting of the Harbor Board on the 18th it was decided to make owners pay part of their (tin Boards) debts into which they have run by their own foolishness. I and others do not see why we should pay for other peoples' debts. If they want to raise money in this way why not tax fishermon, punt-owners, etc. 10s is 103 nowadays, nnd we like to keep our own money if we possibly can; but I suppose we must "grin and bear it" like everything else.—l am, etc, A Boat-owner.
