STILL TO BE RESCUED

FROM ANATOLIAN FLOODS Brownings elsewhere By Telegraph—Copyright—Press Assn. LONDON, Dec. 26. Many deaths and great property damage have occurred as the result of storms and floods in several parts of Europe and Asia Minor. Floods in the Anatolia district of southern Asia Minor resulted in many drownings and injury to thousands. Swollen rivers isolated 32 villages in one area and the inhabitants of 12 others are still clinging to the roofs of houses, where they have been marooned for the past two days awaiting rescue. Seven persons are reported drowned after a cloudburst at San Estevan del Valle, Spain. The damage is estimated at 1,000,000 pesetas. Seven were drowned when the fishing boat Avenir Dumarin was battered to pieces by high seas resembling a tidal wave which struck the Brittany coast.
