PIGEON RACING
WAEPUKURAU HOMING CLUB THREE-BIRD INTERVAL EVENT Ten members of the Waipukurau Homing Pigeon Club penned 30 birds to compete in a three-bird interval race from Petone, an air-line distance of 121 miles. Mr. J. L. Bolton, of the Petone Club, reported liberating the birds at 10 minute intervals in fine weather, all entrants getting away well. The winning team belonged to Guy Bros., and did the journey in the excellent time of 2 hours, 57 minutes.
