Science and Electioneering. The use to which modern science can be put in connection with electioneering was remarkably demonstrated this afternoon. On the eve of the general election, a fifteenminute speech by Mr. T. C. A. Hislop, Leader of the Democrat Party, was heard in the Municipal Theatre, Waipukurau. The speech had been recorded on a gramophone record and was broadcast to the audience through the talkie installation. Similars records arc being used in other electorates throughout the Dominion. There can he no doubt that in future such mechanical methods will play an ever-increasing part in election campaigns.
