Health Stamp Campaign

In commo'nl with other towns in New Zealand, Waipukurau will hold -a street day appeal for fun dis -for the childtail’s health camps. The matron of the hospital (Miss H. M. Turnbull) has kindly agreed t-o provide nurses as collectors. The appeal will bo made to-morrow, Election Day, and the Wai(p'ukujrau public are earnestly invited to help this very worthy object. The following are the results of the bowling matches played on the Waipawa green on Saturday last:—Clark, Fletcher, Ashby 17; Barrie, Harker, Holt, 12. F. Holt, junr., Dailey 24; August, Walker 22. In .a match for the Central H.B. Buttons, Fraser’s team (holdlens) -successfully staved off a challenge by Patterson’s team, <fihc scores being: Cossar, Petlferck, "Harkin, Fraser, 30; Hill, Kingston, Chisholm, Patterson 12. Over the weekend a rink from Omiaruniui visrited Waipawa and playied a game with a local rink, -the result being as follows: Petherick,- Chisholm, Dailey, Fraser, 28; Omarunui: Goldiinlg,' Murdoch, Smyrk, Harker 20.
