A match, between. Marylebono and New South Wales was commenced in veiry sultry wteiather before a very small drjowd. Marylebonie in the first innings scored 260, but, had the fieldsmen given more assistance to the New South Wales bowlers, Marylebone’s score would haVd been even smaller.

Wlutfe was the outstanding bowler and he had .all the Mapylebono batsmen subdued. Cooper, who is a promising fast bowler, beat the opening batsmen with sheer pace. Hardstaff alone of the batsmen impressed. The Marylebone innings lasted four hours five minutes. The New 'South Welshmen opened slowly and unimpressively against the fast bowlers and Baxter.
