FILLING BENZINE PUMPS
(Per Press Association)
NEW PLYMOUTH, Last Night
The supply of petrol from a bulk store to a re-seilling station on Sundays was held by Mr W. H. Woodward, S.M., in a reserved decision, to be illegal. B. E. Kivell, manlager of a bulk store at Stratford, R. A. Robertson, driver of a tank waggon, and E. Walk-
er, service station proprietor, were convicted of Sunday trading, ifeach was fined £l.
The defence raised the contention that the replenishment of supply was essential, but the Magistrate held that ■there was no necessity from the viewpoint of the ipliblic, but was merely a business advantage to the three men concerned.
