MOTOR FATALITY
A YOUTH KILLED CYCLE STRIKES REAR OF TRUCK (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. Otto Robert White, aged 17, son of Mr. Otto C. White, hairdresser, New Brighton, was killed when the motorcycle he was riding in Pages road this afternoon struck the rear of a carrier’s truck owned by Mr. E. L. Smith and driven by Mr. William Anderson Barclay. A pillion rider on the bicycle, Francis Beardsley, aged 18, of Lonsdale street, New Brighton, was badly injured and was admitted to hospital. White suffered severe head injuries and died within a few minutes of the accident.
