“BEEN A BIT CARELESS’’ TERM OF PROBATION (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Henry Pearson Comrie, aged 53, retired railway employee, to-day admitted charges of stealing between October, 1933, Aid March, 1935, the proceeds from euchre parties and entertainments, also subscriptions and donations to the Paekakariki District Nurse Conamitttee, of which he was secretary and treasurer. He was placed on probation for two years, £66 7/2 to be refunded at a rate to be fixefl by the probation officer.
Accused bore an excellent character. His excuse for the position disclosed was that he had been a bit careless.
