WILL ROGERS IN “MR SKITCH” TO-MORROW AT 8 P.M. The delightful persons of Anne Cameron’s Saturday Evening Post Story, “Green Dice’’ come to life on the screen with Will Rogers as “Mr Skitch,’ ’the character name and title of the new Fox production which will be shown at the Waipukurau Theatre to-morrow (Tuesday) at 8 p.m. For outright entertainment, and good, healthy laughs, “Mr Skitch’’ tops anything Rogers has done. It is hilarious entertainment. Always at his best in a modern, topical and timely picture, (“Mr Skitch’’ is all of that), Rogers has the typo of role that lets him loose with sallies of wit, the kind that have made him a favourite as a humorist.

In support of Will Rogers, Zasu Pitts, who is a star comedienne in her own right, heads the cast, and gives a flawless performance. Rochelle Hudson and Charles Starrett supply the romantic interest, and should be highly praised for their splendid portrayals. Florence Desmond, English screen star and mimic has an important part in "Mr Skitch. ” Her now famous “Hollywood Party” in the Savoy Follies was an immediate success. More than 300,000 records of the "Hollywood Party” have been sold. The Prince of Wales stood up to lead the applause after she did her act at the Cafe de Paris in London and there was a coriimand radio broadcast for the King and Queen of England. Her appearance in New York created a sensation. She will delight you with takeoffs of film notables with one of 7asw Pitts topping them all.
