CAESAR’S BUST

ARCHAEOLOGISTS’ FIND A REAL EFFIGY ROME, June 14. Archaeologists have proved that the marble head discovered in Sicily tn 1784 is the only known bust of Julius Caesar made during his lifetime. Professor Boehringer reported to Mussolini that he is convinced, after studying the bust for a year, that it is Caesar's. The discovery is important, because it provides a contemporary portrait, and even reproduces a slight facial deformity. Mussolini after examining photographs of the bust, said: “I feel that it is a real effigy of the dictator.”
