ELECTION VIOLENCE
IN THE UNITED STATES MURDER IN CHICAGO By Telegraph—Copyright—Press As. CHICAGO, April 8. Joseph Tierno, the political worker, was “taken for a ride” and murdered to-day in what the police believe to be premature violence for the primary election on the coming Tuesday. Robbery was obviously not the purpose, as a considerable amount of money and jewellery was ignored. The election campaign is as bitter as usual and the police anticipate much additional violence.
