SLASHED FROM FRAMES VALUED AT £5,000 MONTREAL, April 18. j Sixteen paintings valued at 20,000 jdojlars were slashed from their frames (at: the spring art exhibition at the Montreal Art Gtallery during Monday night, and carried away by unknown thieves, who entered through a broken window without knowledge _ .by the watchman.
