IS NOT SUITABLE FOR LARGE DISTANCE ’PLANES (Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. Sir Charles Kingsford Smith, interviewed, expressed the opinion that wind conditions and surroundings put Rongotai out of the. question as an aerodrome for large long distance aeroplanes. When he saw it on a previous visit he had approved of it for small machines, but this was mistakenly accepted as a general 0.K.; which was not intended.
