INJURED RUGBY PLAYERS "AND REPLACEMENT RULE LONDON, March 9. The Secretary of the Rugby Football Union (Commander S. F. Coopper) denies that the Union has agreed to New Zealand's request for the substitution of injured players. At a recent meeting of the Tarar./.ki Rugby Union's Management Committee, Mr. J. McLeod (chairmar 1 is reported to have stated that the English Rugby Union had endorsed the New Zealand Union’s application to replace injured players, and had passed the application on to the Inter-national Board for approval.
