VINDICTIVE GIRL
GETS FURTHER IMPRISONMENT “I WILL MURDER YOU” “When I come out I will murder you. Don't forget.” This threat was shouted from the dock at Uxbridge to a probation officer by Emmie Cordery, aged 19, of Oswald Road, Southall, after she had been sentenced to three months imprisonment. The girl was immediately brought back into the dock, struggling violently and shouting. “Because of your threats tc Miss Brown, the probation officer, you will go to prison for a further three months, making six months altogether,” declared the magistrate. The girl was charged with failing to observe the conditions of her recognisances by refusing to reside at a hostel in Ealing as directed by the probation officer. The probation officer stated that she managed to reinstate the girl at a factory, and took her to a hostel which she left of her own accord. The girl was then discharged from the factory again, and was taken to a home at Holloway, but was asked to leave by the matron.
