INTEREST REDUCED
BY AUSTRALIAN BANKS ON TREASURY BILLS CANBERRA. Jan. 27. The Assistant Treasurer, Mr. Greene, announced to-day that the banks had agreed to reduce the rate of interest charged on Government Trasury bills from 34 to 3 1-4 per cent. The saving to the various Governments would be £l2 5,000 a year.
