HASTINGS TOURNAMENT LOCAL LADIES COMPETING Play in the Hastings ladies’ golf 1 tournament yesterday saw the com- ' pletion of the qualifying rounds and ’ the first round of match play in both the open championship and the Longlands handicap. Only four players ' are now left in each event, and the semi-finals will be played to-day. The qualifying rounds were completed yesterday morning, the first eight gross scores qualifying for the championship and the next eight for the Longlands handicap. The first rounds of match play were completed in the afternoon. In addition to these, the chief events, senior and junior medal rounds and senior and junior bogey handicaps, were played, a teams’ ' match being played in conjunction With the medal rounds.
