Oliff and Avery (England) were eliminated by Fieldman and Hess (United States), 6 —4, 6 —4, 4—6, 3 —6, 6 —3. Cochet and Barnard (France) defeated Thurber and Thurber (United States), 6—l, 6 —l, 6 —o. Magin and Bell (United States) defeated Brimeau and Burns (United States), 6 —l, 6 —o, 6—4. Allison and Van Ryn (defending champions) defeated Caner and Guild (United States), 9 —7, 6 —3, 6 —4.
Jiro Satoh and T. Juwbara (Japan) won by default.
