TAXIS COLLIDE
CASE IN WELLINGTON
ONE DRIVER GETS DAMAGES
(Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day.
In the Supreme Court to-day Mr. Justice Blair gave judgment in favour of Edwards Henry Leach, taxi driver, in a claim for damages against another taxi driver, George Edward Harper.
The cars were involved in a collision at a street intersection on December 21 as the result of which a woman was killed and other people injured.
The amount awaraded was £l2O 7s special damages. His Honour said that he would not allow general damages. ;
