MUTTON AND LAMB REDUCTION IN PRICES A reduced, price for both mutton and lamb is now being paid by meat exporters. The reduction in both wether and ewe mutton is an eighth of a penny, and in lamb l-4d per lb. The following is now the schedule for Hawke’s Bay: — 48 and under, wether 27-8 d; ewe lid; 49/56, wether 21d; ewe 1 l-4d; 57/64 wether 2 l-4d; ewe Id; 65/72 1 7-8 d; ewe id; 73 and over, wether 1 3-8 d; ewe Id; seconds wether 21d; ewe Id. Lamb. —36/under 41d; 37/over 4 l-4d seconds 4d, shorn l-4d less.
