“That the Government be asked to review the position in regard to the wages tax collected from women workers in cases where they are compelled to pay a wages tax equivalent to that paid by male workers, as under the present Act they cannot receive any relief when they are out of employment,” was a remit submitted to the Farmers’ Executive at Wellington from Taranaki recently.
