Telephone Rental Charges
The opinion that the Government should grant a reduction in telephone rentals to assist subscribers in making ends meet was expressed in a resolution adopted by the Otahuhu Businessmen’s League. The resolution further stated that in the league’s opinion the reduction of rentals by 20 per cent would prove mutually advantageous to the. Government and the subscribers and would bring a greater volume of business to .the Post and Telegraph Department. Copies of the resolution are to be forwarded to chambers of commerce.
