BRITISH MOTORIST WINS A PRINCE FATALLY INJURED BERLIN, May 22. The international, race on the Hous motor road 121 miles, for cars up to 1500 c.ci. was w 7 on by Earl Howe in a De Lage, averaging 109.71 miles an hour. His fastest lap was 110.35 m.p.h. He twice lapped the field of 20 starters.
The baby cars’ Special Award Grand Prix of 184 miles was won by von Brauschitsch in a Mercedes Benz, averaging 121 J miles an hour. Prince George Lobkowitz, of Czechoslovakia, was fatally injured when his ear left the track and capsized. Sir Malcolm Campbell retired early with a broken oil pipe.
