Local competition was somewhat checked owing to tho severe drought experienced in the Wairarapa, but it was pleasing to see a good number of these splendid cattle remain in the district. Competition was well sustained and the satisfactory average under existing conditions of 25 guineas was obtained. for . the entire offering. The sale was conducted by the Associated Live Stock Auctioneers, Limited, and Wright, Stephenson; jand. Company> Limited, in conjunction.
