REPLACING TRACTORS

CHICAGO, May 23
Horses are again coming into their own in the Middle West States owing to the low price of feed and the high price of tractor fuel. In Illinois and lowa 18 horses are at work for every tractor, and fully half the farm tractors are idle. Farmers, veterinarians, blacksmith, small-town bankers and business men say that horses are being more used this year than for many years.
