LONDON, May 21.
Lieutenant W. J. Summerise, of the Duke of Wellington’s Regiment, competing against the South London Harriers, ran 100 yards in nine and seven-tenths seconds, equalling Liddell’s British amateur record. L. E. Hobbs, son of the cricketer, was second, beaten by three yards.
