Tho monthly meeting of the Women’s Institute was held in tho Memorial Buildings on May 19, Mrs W. ; Petrowski, vice-president, presided in the absence of Mrs Eddy who is still in hospital and doing favourably. Delegates report of the Waipukurau Federation meeting was listened to with interest.
Arrangements for a euchre party and dance will be made at the June meeting. Mrs T. Parkinson supplied two interesting competitions, the winner of both being Mrs H. Addis. The hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames Peterson, Neilson and Brassington. The singing of the National Anthem con* eluded an enjoyable afternoon.
