NEARLY 1000 INCREASE TOTAL REACHES 52,451 (Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, Last Night. A further increase in the number of registered unemployed is recorded in the figures for New Zealand for the week ended May 6. The total number of registrations for the period was 52,451, as compared with 51,517 for the previous week; an increase of 934. The registrations include 37,920 men who are engaged in part-time work on tho No. 5 schc ie, which leaves 14,531 unplaced or st: nding down.
