<j»— Explanation To Public PAMPHLETS TO BE ISSUED MINISTER’S ANNOUNCEMENT I (Per Press Association WELLINGTON., This Day. The Hon. Downie Stewart, Minister of Finance, stated to-day that it is intended, at an early date, to publish for the information of the public a short series of official pamphlets setting out concisely the purpose and effect of the recent legislation, more particularly with respect to the reductions of interest and rents, mortgagors’ and tenants’ relief, and stamp duty on interest from Government and local body debentures, also unemployment taxation.
