RELIEF STRIKERS
Arranging To Confer
WITH MINISTER EMPLOYMENT
MAJORITY dF MEN WORKING

Arrangements were discussed to-day by the relief work strik-
ers with a view to waiting upon the Minister of Employment in
company with representatives of the Alliance of Labour and the Trades and Labour Council, presumably to place before the Minister representations on behalf of the strikers.
A mass meeting was held this morning in the Trades Hall, and another is to be held this afternoon. Figures supplied to-day from an official source, showed that 1408. men are working out of a total of 2250, for whom jobs had been allocated. Since April, 130 single men have gone into camps from Wellington. It is estimated that about <5O single men refuesed to go into camp, and consequently they have not been given work.
