FINE DAYS, COLD NIGHTS The following is the weather fore cast for 24 Hours from 9 a.in. this • lay and issued at noon:— The indications arc for variable and moderate- south easterly moderate prevailing. There is a prospect of fine weather days bright and nights cold. The baometer shows little movement but has a rising tendency. UNSETTLED CONDITIONS Following is the Government meteox ologist’s weather report and fore cast, issued last night: — An intense anti-cyclone with its centre in the south-west Tasman Sea extends from south-eastern Australia to New Zealand Winds between south-west and southeast; still fresh to strong at times at places from Cook Strait northward, but elsewhere light to moderate. Seas rather rough north of Kaikoura with a southerly swell; elsewhere moderate in New Zealand waters. Light to fresh to south-east winds in the eastern Tasman Sea and moderate seas. Weather fine in most districts, but still showery north of Auckland and some scattered showers at first on the East Coast. Temperatures cold with night frosts.
