RIOTING IN BOMBAY
HINDUS AND MOSLEMS POLICE FIRE ON THE MOB CALCUTTA, Last Night. Fierce rioting occurred in Bombay between Hindus and Moslem. Two were killed and over 50 injured when the police fired on the mob to disperse the combatants, who flung bricks and bottles at one another following the beating of two Moslem boys soliciting contributions for the celebration of the great Moslem festival of Mohurrum. DARING EXPLOIT IN INDIA CALCUTTA, May 14. Armed youths daringly held up a train near Dacca, East Bengali, and seized £2461 from Indian passengers A European guard was shot and wounded in the neck. The raiders escaped in a taxi, whose driver they 1 drugged.
