FIRE AT TOURERE
- <g> WOOLSHED DESTROYED HEAVY LOSS TO THE OWNER At 11.40 a.m. to-day an outbreak of fire was found to be in progress at the Tourere woolshed, a building some 13 years of age, on the property of Mr. J. A. F. Swinburn. The flames spread rapidly and the whole building being enveloped, there was no opportunity for staying its progress. Besides the main structure, a garage attached thereto was completely destroyed, the latter including a Ford motor-car. The building was insured in the National Office, but the amount is at present unavailable. Erected at a cost approximating £2oo'o, the loss is therefore a heavy one. A call came through to the Waipukurau Fire Brigade, but in the, absence of a water supply it was decided that its services would not prove useful.
