MEAT TARIFF URGED

A plan for the regulation of meat imports into Great Britain, to be submitted by the British Government as an important part of the British policy to be pursued at the Economic. Conference at Ottawa, and d vwn up by a group of meat producers ' '' Australia, New Zealand and Canada and by importers of ’the United Kingdom, was announced by the Board of Trade to-day.
The 1 scheme-'provides fdr a tariff on foreign beef, mutton, lamb, veal’, bacon and ham, with preferences for the Dominions.
