“ARE YOU A SPECIAL?”
Question By Waitress
In leading restaurant
WHOLE STAFF DISMISSED
(Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day.
A customer on entering one of Wellington’s leading restaurants today was asked by one of the waitresses if he was a special.
The question was put in the presence of other waitresses, who stated that if he was a special they were refusing to serve specials. The management was approached, following the complaint of the happening and as a result it was subsequently announced that the whole.of the staff of waitresses had been dismissed. The man who complained is not a member of the special police.
