ATTACKS TWO WOMEN. ONE VICTIM MAY NOT LIVE By Telegraph —Copyright —Press Assn. SYDNEY, November 2 Two young women were attacked by a mad Airedale dog at Paddington yesterday. 'So severely bitten was Myrtle Miller that her life is despaired of. The dog apparently was affected by the severe heat, as in the past it had been perfectly docile. It first attacked Miss Stephen, aged 24, and bit her on the side and forearms. It then rushed at Miss Miller, aged 16, who was washing dishes, and bit her on the legs, thighs and arms, one, wound requiring twenty stitches. Miss Miller certainly would hayw been killed but for the intervention of a young man, who seized z the dog’s ears, twisting them violently and retaining a tenacious hold until the police arrived and shot the dog. Miss Miller was taken to hospital n a critical condition.
