■ I MIMIT-IUWiIIMUMIIWWI'—*** 1 111 For sore shoulders in horses, make a pad for folding a clean chaffbag from bottom upwards, the folds 'being every seven or eight "inches; this will give a thickness of nearly half an inch. Attach pad to lining of collar with a saddler's needle and ordinary seaming twine; then gt collar to horse and mark spot where pad comes in contact with the sore. Make a “chamber” a little larger than the afflicted spot, using a sharp pom-et-knife. This will keep pressure ofA -he sore and also tighten collar and prevent friction —the cause of 99 " r cent of sore shoulders.
