FAIR FOR MOST PARTS. Following is the Government meteorologist’s weather forecast — Light to moderate east to north winds, backing later to southerlies over the South Island. The weather for the most part will he fair, but some scattered light showers are probable, principally in the western and southern districts of the South Island and in the far north; mild temperatures.
