SHOOTING SEASON.
AFTER THE DUCKS. SWAN AND PUKEKO PLENTIFUL. Like the broadside of some nfghty battleship the guns of various ducK shooters opened fire at about five on Friday morning and any feathered game about was quickly in dire peril. Ducks proved to be fairly plentiful for a start and one bag of tw’enty'seven and tw r o of tw’enty-two have been, reported. Of swmns there is said to be a good supply and pukeko are plentiful in tno sw’amp d Btricts.
