CHEATED BY THE AQUITANIA. ■O NEW YORK, August 9. The Canard liner Aquitania, which sailed from New York on July 3.1, has created a new record. She covered the last 129 miles to Cherbourg on Friday in three hours forty-two minutes, the average speed being 27.4 knots (31 land miles) an hour. .
