The Grinlinton Cup.
THE FIRST COMPETITION. WON BY CAPT. NELSON. The first competition for the GrinliDton Challenge Cup took place on the local range yesterday afternoon. The weather was not very good for shooting, the wind being tricky. Towards evening, however, matters improved. The light, however, was very bad. Capt. Nelson won the competition with the good score of 85, Private Loveday being second with 80. There were twelve competitors, and the following were the highest scorers:— yds yds yds 500 600 700 tl.
