Our contemporaries have waxed funny regarding cur attitude towards Mr Bolton and his motion to consider the advisablenoßs of holding alternate bliows at Woodville atua. Here aie some opinions:— The Baconville Buster is " s;«g----gerc-d " at hearing that Mr S. Bolton, a local Pooh Bah and vice-president of the A. and P. Association, bas decided to move at next meetiug that the snows be held alternately at Pahiatua and Baconville in the future. It accuses Mr Bolton of "joining hands with the enemy," " playing into the hands of tlie agitators of the neighbouring town," and "flirting with Pahiatua," and calls upon Baconville to rit-e as one man and come along with its biggest bludgeon and annihilate this latest conspiracy. Mr Bolton is blusteringly invited to " look out for squalls at the annual meeting." Appears to us the squalls have arrived already. Manawatu Times. The Examiner has been " staggered " by learning that the VicePresident of the Woodville A. and P. Association has given notice of motion for the annual meeting that the show be held in alternate years at Woodville and Pahiatua! Our contemporary is most indignant at the proposal, and the fiery cross of the Macallum More is already beiog sent to all loyal and faithful Woodvillians. The coming annual meeting should be an interesting one.—Dannevirke Advocate. The Woodville Examiner is shedding bitter tears over a rumour that Mr S. Bolton favours the local show being held alternately at Woodville and Pahiatua, and says " Mr Bolton will go out with the tide." Perhaps Barkis is williu'.—Manawatu Standard.
