Sensation in Dannevirke.
A REIGN OF TERROR. (by telegraph—special). Dannevirke, This day. A terrible sensation was created in Dannevirke yesterday when it became known that the wife of one of the beat-known citizens had been interfered with by a brutal ruffian while on her way home on Saturday evening. The lady had been into the town to do some shopping, and when on her way home a man seized her and committed a shocking outrage upon her. The incident brought to light the fact that several woman, both married and single, had been similarly treated during the past week, and what was practically a reign of terror existed among the women of Dannevirke.
The police are making investigations, but so far no clue has been found that will lead to the identity of the fiend in human form.
