AKABAH FORTIFIED. DETERMINATION OP BRITISH GOVERNMENT. London, April 28. The cruiser Minerva has been ordered to proceed to the vicinity of El Axish to inquire into the removal by Turks of boundary marks. The Government is determined that Turkish troops shall be withdrawn from Egyptian territory without delay. Turkey’s real motive, it is said, is to regain possession of the direct road to Mecca. A battalion of infantry at Malta has been ordered to Alexandra. Another battalion is held in readiness. The Tuikish troops are concentrating south of Damascus and fortifying Akabah, where reinforcements are expected.
